The technique accomplished what I want to do, but I'm finding that setting the timer interval to 0 in the timer doesn't stop the timer from firing. In the method the timer calls, I check the value of the timer to make sure it's been set to 0, yet my method is called continually. What seems to work is setting the timer reference to null after processing, and recreate the timer object each time my client program needs to use the COM server. I've also tried disabling the timer too, but I get the same result as setting the timer to 0. Have you ever had any similar issues?
