Title:
Concurrent Logging In
Dear user group,
We r a grp of foxpro programmers & we r facing probs in a networking environment:
1) 2nd user cant update the data if that data is accessed by 1st user at the same time as a result records are missing.
2) same record number is used concurrently by 2 users - the 1st user will receive error message("illegal operation........"). As a result the 1st user has to shutdown from the system & log in again but another error message ("this record number is being used ..........")appear when the 1st user tries to access the same record number again.
3) Accessing the same report by 2 users concurrently results in different screens/windows appear. Meaning the system doesn't allow the 2nd user to access the similar report(in similar database) at the same time.
We want to know whether there's another way to check the error codings instead of using table codings to trace the error as what we r adopting now.
If there a way to check how many users are logging in the same database concurrently.
How many users are allowed to log in concurrently.
We very much appreciate ur kind assistance in the above matter.
Any inconvenience caused is very much regretted. Thank you.
Chung Angie
