Studies were made to show if the programming languages used by a developer could have an influence on the longevity of the developer using it.

The very serious enterprise "Boring, Boring, Boring and associates" made a survey. The results were very surprising.

It came out that VFP developers live older because they don't have to learn to use 30 different tools before being able to really build a complete solution with it.

Other environment proved to be really popular but because they almost require an army of developers before something serious can me made with it this proves to be really stressfull, thus having an impact on the longevity of the developers using it. Not only that but the quality of life of those developers have decreased significantly.

Many developers say that they're never certain they use the right things because the underlying framework contains 50000 classes and each classes contains an average of 300 methods and each method contains 50 properties.

But the developers using VFP said that this development environment is doing very well what it has to do. So they develop applications faster without always questioning themselves about the way they build their app.
