Well when the name of the session is "Moving to ASP.NET from Visual FoxPro" I don't think there could much speculation about what the content is going to involve.
If you take a look at the descriptions of the sessions on http://advisorevents.com/cmt0506p.nsf/wSessionsTrack?Open&RestrictToCategory=CMT0506-CMX you can tell that at least 3 of the sessions are geared at migrating AWAY from VFP...heck even one of the pre-convention jumpstart things ".NET for Visual FoxPro Developers" !!! Part of that is about how to "deploy .net applications"! Yeah that's why I'd goto a VFP conference, so I could learn how to deploy my .NET apps!
And what about the description for the VB.NET for VFP Developers session - "....VB.NET is a natural choice for VFP developers looking to migrate their skills to .NET. In this session you'll look at .NET, then dive into the Visual Studio .NET IDE and VB.NET language.....". It goes on and on with at least 1/2 dozen of these sessions. So now we have a VFP devcon where at least 1/3 of the sessions don't talk about VFP. Either they're going to anounce the end of VFP (hense all these migration sessions) or the organizers of this thing did a lousy job. (and frankly I have a little more faith in the Advisor folks than that)

As for the SQL Server ones, hey if it deals with VFP (for example - the "SQL Server 2005 Express and Visual FoxPro" session) it seems logical. Heck if the ASP.NET one was Using ASP.NET with VFP sure, but geeeze sessions on migrating away from VFP at a VFP conference? That makes absoultly no sense whatsoever.
Of course there is "SQL Server-TSQL Stored Procedure Programming" and "What's New in SQL Server 2005" - these also have nothing to do with VFP but I can at least stomach that because of the vast number of VFP developers using SQL Server....but it's still obvious that we're having a VFP convention about moving away from VFP...hahahahahaha... how transparent can it get? hahaha

>Until we see exactly what the content is, there is on way of knowing that it is "migrate away". Do you feel the same about SQL Server sessions at a Fox conference? I see these as potentially great sessions and just another tool to add to the arsenal.

>>Yes great opporunity - but I find it rather ridicilious that at a VFP convention there are no less than 3 sessions on how to mirgrate AWAY from VFP to something else. Generally when you goto a convention about programming in a specific language they don't have a bunch of classes on how to get rid of it! (unless it's about to become a thing of the past of course)
