I'm not sure where you get the basis for your "small percentage" statement. While true that COM is slightly harder to set up, at least the first time, maintenance and flexibility are greatly enhanced. Perhaps if you counted everyone that has ever downloaded and hacked around with WWC, the percentage might be small, for real production applications, I would be surprised (and disappointed) if that were the case.
