For those that were not there can you give us some details of that (apparent) fiasco?

They charged more for what they advertised as a 4 day conference. In reality, it was a 2 and 1/2 day conference because after lunch on the third day they took down all the partitions for the session rooms and gave us an infomercial about .NET.
