Machine went down and, unfortunately I had a large table open, 400 MB memo file became corrupted. It seems like only a few records got trashed... (whew!) but I went through the whole Error 41, Memo missing or invalid, copy and restore, routine.

Belkin 1000 VA UPS which has SNMP in addition to USB & serial. This would prompt Windows for a graceful shutdown of VFP, right? Which is best?

>TIA,
I haven't looked into this at all. If you do find one that asks Windows for a graceful shutdown, and you're using VFP 9, then you can use the new Windows version of BindEvents to have VFP shutdown properly when Windows shuts down.
