Hello,

I am currently using an SQL7 database that must be able to allow an IVR - phone system to retrieve information for the database server.

I found that using a specific Java driver engineered for the IVR plus installing a JDBC driver on the SQL server database, I should be able to connect.

My problem is that after installing the JDBC driver on the SQL server.. The IVR still cannot connect to the SQL box.

I know that this should work because I have a similar setup using NT 4 and the IVR. The difference is that I have migrated from an NT 4 to Windows 2000 environment.
I have called the vendor and they ensure me that the drivers are compatible with Windows 2000.

I have telnetted through to port 1433 and this is ok..

Is there someway for me to check if the W2K SQL 7 box will allow Java connections?

I am not sure if this is enough info... Please let me know if you need more information on this.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You.
