About 30 per hour seems right for long contracts as well. If you want to get much above that rate you need to move to C# or VB and SQL2000 and into banking applications.

www.jobserve.co.uk is a useful place to look. Though positions are often advertised as "market rates" so you need to be aware of that when you state your desired rate. Don't go too low.
