Title:
Project hook or not?
AVFP3 is not using a project hook for its project out of the box right now, but, I'm wondering if I should put one in the project for those occasions when an error occurs and the main.fxp ends up being locked for some amount of time. I'm not sure there's any control on when it gives up the lock, so, on a development machine, I'm thinking of automating the stop/restart in the project build cycle. My preferred way would be to "Unload" the application, but, unfortunately, this doesn't work for ASP.NET. So, the good ole IISRESTART would be required. However, since it's more than likely a development machine, this probably wouldn't be a problem. On a production server, the main.fxp could still just be swapped out..
