True, Rushmore makes VFP much faster than VB's DB Access.

I really dissagree. VB doesn't access a SQL server (or any ODBC source) any diffreent than VFP. The advantage: Database commands. I have recently had to use VB to access a SQL sever and it *SUCKS* (IMHO, of course)! Show me another way of accessing a remote server besides ODBC (or direct calls ala Borland).

Secondly, ODBC is really not that slow. If your server is configured properly, your users will not be waiting that long. They will complain about Word's slow init time (s) long before complaining about your app's response time....
