US will experience what Russia did when the "wall" fell. That is what is happening now. I am getting project offers from India - wierd, huh? I would not mind moving to Asia or China to work - it seems likes like a lot of excitemt is brewing there. I watch CCTV - lots of science and culture info, kind of like America 50 years ago - except the delivering technology is better.

I wish I was being paid in Euros instead of dollars!

>Very interesting.

>When we look back in many years time I see this as being as big as any of the industrial revolutions that have taken place.

>Is it a good thing? Good for the companies, yes, for a techie, not so good. The only thing I can really say is that this is really happening and I beleive you have 2 choices pretend that everything will come back to the way it was or position yourself so you take on a client facing role which cant be outsourced so easily.

>It aint nice but its reallity.

>>Interesting story about outsourcing. A Morgan Stanely representative says he can see no reason ... "why we would ever hire a New York Programmer again."

>>Lets see - our income taxes pay to protect Morgan Stanely's rights - and they outsource overseas - we loose our income - we don't pay taxes - how will we ever be able to protect Morgan Stanely? How can we assure MS attornies can enforce the New Bankrupcy laws. Poor Morgan Stanely - don't they see what they're doing - they're preventing us from sheltering them. We won't be able to pay the government prosecutors to evict those who accepted their credit cards, then lost their jobs and could not meet their monthly minimums. How will Morgan Stanely be able to enforce all those evictions. Who will pay the repo man?
>>
>>Poor Morgan Stanely - I guess the sky-mall manager will watch over them!:)
