It should. I always find it time consuming to debug through DTS scripts. I feel more comfortable using my own code.

Is your SQL Server running under domain account? of "Local Account"?

If you really need to find out why it is not working, you should create a small VB app using the same script and debug that way.

It is the good solution but I am not sure why the script won't run from within the package instead of running from command line.
