Claudio,

You realize of course that you just offended every one of those MVPs on this board that have ever helped you with problems? Even the loyal hard core VFP ones that do not spout the .NET line.

Was this your intent, because if it is I'm not sure I understand the attitude, because you have been a recipient of aforementioned help from many of them over the years. These people have helped you without pay, giving you their time. True others do this without the MVP moniker but many of the most active ones are MVPs.

MVPs are not MVPs because they support the Microsoft party line, they are MVPs because they help others or because they provide services to the community. And Microsoft frequently picks MVPs that are outright critical (as long as they are constructive) of Microsoft policies/direction etc.

Just because some of the services provided do not coincide with your world view does not mean that these MVPs are not doing work that is valueable to other developers. Just because it isn't to you doesn't mean it's not valuable to somebody else.

People, you really have to get out of the habit of thinking in black and white. The world is in full techno color. Take off the filter lenses and look at the light once in a while.

>>I'd like to add my voice to those who have told you that this is the WRONG PLACE for such an "announcement".
>>
>>Sure, you can argue that it involves VFP and so is legitimately here. But it is gauche in the extreme to invite people to assist in the killing of their prime computer language.
>>
>>It is also highly suspicious to me that anyone who spent $399. for ths "seminar" would come out of it able to recode their VFP applications into .NET. You make it sound like that is the objective, and if that truly is your position then you are also grossly misleading the readers of this advertisement.
>>
>>VFP developers who are dabbling (or more) in .NET no doubt also frequent the .NET forum here, and that is the "proper" place for this advertisement.
>>
>>Just as Marcus' first advertisement for this service was UNWELCOMED here, so this one is too. Why you thought it should be any different this time is beyond me. Maybe you just like rattling peoples' cages.

>> >EPS Software and Oak Leaf Enterprises, announce another two-day VFP Conversion
>
>I totally agree..
>
>We have here a great problem, that involves a thing named professional ethics..
>
>A long time, Microsoft is giving MVPs pins to people, exactly to turn them disciples of practices like these..
>
>But, for sure the MV letters (of MVP) must be changed for LP (little puppets)
>
>Hey.. and, I am not talking about all of them.. We really have great "MV" men among them !!
