Well, clicked the wrong button and this got in the first time with no reply.

Did you think I was making it up? One situation was Whilfest a couple of years ago and this person has spoken directly to me about it. You can have your skepticism and I'm not saying he does this every time - he probably would be dropped from the lists of presenters - but it has happened. Mainly, however, it just been the way they approach the VFP conversion issue that has irritated people.

>>Hmmm... "presentations at VFP-related conferences." That's a little vague, Russell. Which presentation? And for that matter, at which conference? He's done several each year for many years. Specifics, man. That's all we can (or should) talk about here. Generalizations get us nowhere.
>>
>>FWIW, I've been to "VFP-related conferences" where Kevin was a speaker, attending many of his (and Rick's and Marcus') presentations. Not once did I hear him (or any of the others I mentioned) utter those words or anything like them, so I'm surprised to hear differently. Did anyone else hear these words... not paraphrased, not interpreted, but hear him actually say the words "VFP is dead?" Some people, especially those who would attend a VFP-related conference, consider those to be fighting words... and none of these people challenged him? Not even you?
>>
>>Admittedly, I wasn't there, so I can only attest to what I have witnessed, but I also have to admit to a healthy dose of skepticism on this one.

>>>Kevin has specifically said during his presentations at VFP-related conferences "VFP is dead". This has not been appreciated by attendees.
