No. I get this going directly into VFP 9.
Opening the sample customer table in the NorthWind folder.
Modi Repo test and add a field with that expression. Just the one field on a brand new report gets the error.

No special settings that I am aware of. For our development environment we have looked at not providing the latest ReportBuilder/Output/Preview apps but this is just straight into VFP 9 on a brand new report with a single field. There isn't even a config.fpw to alter the configuration from the default. And I would doubt that any options I might have saved on my VFP install would have migrate to everyone elses installation...

But you don't get it? Hmm...
