>Hi James,
>the problem is not cost of Kevin's time. The problem is why he push the VFP developers to move to .Net. Many of us explained in UT advantages and disadvatages of .Net.

Is he pushing developers to move to .Net or providing help specialized for VFP developers that may need it? Should VFP developers that are interested in converting all or part of some of their applications to .Net be stuck learning .Net from people that are not familiar with VFP at all? I would rather hear .Net explained to me with comparisons to VFP (which only a VFP developer can do) rather than comparisons to Java, VB, C++ or something else I don't understand quite as much.

I understand that yourself and many others with reservations about what Kevin is doing may find no reason at all for his seminars, but what about those that want or need them. I find it rather thoughtful of Kevin to provide training specialized for VFP developers to help expand their skill set. In the end he is still helping VFP developers.

Many people are familiar with Java, Python and other languages but still choose to develop in VFP. People who take Kevin's seminar or learn about .Net may also still choose to develop in VFP. However, shouldn't it be up to the individual developer to gather information on both sides and make that decision?

Aloha,

James
