Reading the tables is fine, but when I come to update them with some new records, because two of the Access tables have field names containing "/" characters, Fox has a fit and refuses to update the records properly, connectivity errors and the like. So if anyone has a workaround for this problem, or better still a new ODBC driver for Access that translates foreign field characters properly I would be forever in your debt.

Can't find my previous answer to your question, but you can edit the SQL statement for your view and rearrange the "xxxxxxxxxxx as yyyyyyy" part so that "yyyyyy" becomes a valid VFP field name. This way it probably won't be editable in the view designer anymore, but you can use GenDbc or some tool of the kind to generate the necessary code, modify it there and run it.
