We have a program that needs to pull text out of a lot of RTF files and this takes a while. We have tried using Word to open every RTF and extract the text but we don't want to require a word install for the program to run. We have tried using a simple editor to open the RTF's but then we have to try to translate every RTF string out of the content. Is there are way to do this better? Can you call WordPad somehow from VFP and have it pull the text out of the RTF's? What is the fastest way?
