Nobody's saying that there aren't going to be some people that want to convert completely. I made the statements I did to find out if there would be more interop coverage, which is arguably important to more people here than total conversion and to bring attention to the matter(more interop coverage). I still believe Kevin would rather spend more time on conversion than explore the intricacies of interop between vfp and .NET and this is based on the proportion of time he spends on the subject, let's say at most less than 10%(based on the last chapter and the last entry in his list of seminar highlights). I would like to see him do more interop...

>First...you initially stated there wasn't any coverage of interop, and therefore he didn't care much about it. I responded that there's a chapter in the book and a bullet point for it in the seminar. Then you respond that Kevin didn't write that chapter, and therefore he didn't care much about it. I responded that he did write it, which he himself confirmed. Now your latest statement is that it's an afterthought in the form of parting words or a last chapter.

>I agree that interop training can be helpful. Some shops architected their Fox apps well, and either want to preserve some of their investment, and/or have limited financial resources to do a re-write.

>But there are also shops out there that prefer a re-write. In some cases, it's because they have a huge Fox app that's been built and patched and built and patched for years - and coincidently have a long list of enhancements - and want to start over. It's a reflection of the company's vision (and yes, a reflection that the company is investing money in it). I can only speak for what I've seen or heard directly. I've seen both and I've talked to others who have seen both - and truthfully, I've seen a little more of the latter.
