Well, probably many dotnet consultants here are motivated by profit and I would guess that's the reason for the minimal attention given to interop. In other words, while it would save money for whoever is paying for the project, it would make less money for consultants doing total conversions. That's probably the plain truth of it.
I only have time to develop ActiveVFP to prove that interop works well and is a great alternative to save time and money. Many developers are using it instead of developing an application purely in .NET for these reasons. In other words, AVFP is my contribution . It'll have to be someone else that writes about it- I just don't have enough time...

>>Nobody's saying that there aren't going to be some people that want to convert completely. I made the statements I did to find out if there would be more interop coverage, which is arguably important to more people here than total conversion and to bring attention to the matter(more interop coverage). I still believe Kevin would rather spend more time on conversion than explore the intricacies of interop between vfp and .NET and this is based on the proportion of time he spends on the subject, let's say at most less than 10%(based on the last chapter and the last entry in his list of seminar highlights). I would like to see him do more interop...

>I see your point, and I guess that most of us already know this is your vision. However, every author/trainer has her/his own idea and experiences about what topics spend more time with.

>Once again, I'd like you to write or present about these topics that you find so important. It seems rather obvious by now that you hae a lot of ideas to put in practice in that field. As you already know, UTMag will be happy to publish any good article in this area.
