1. Is it possible that someone is opening and closing the report in development AFTER your code cleaning the TAG,TAG2, and EXPR fields is run? If you check the TAG, TAG2, and EXPR fields just prior to building the app, are they correct? What do they contain exactly? Can you post it?
2. What OS, printer manufacturer, make, model, and printer driver are the workstations using? Is it possible some are using the manufacturer's driver and some may be using MSFT's?
3. After the printer was installed, what means do you use for setting the printer in VFP? Are you using SET PRINTER TO NAME (lcprinter) or what? If similar coding, how is lcprinter set? Can you post your code?
4. Is the printer connected to a single workstation, a server, or how? When the workstations installed the printer driver, did they automatically install the same printer driver stored on the server or did they have to install the printer driver from a cd, online, the MSFT picklist, or where? If you verify the printer driver information on the workstation under printer properties, do they all match manufacturer and version number and date?
5. Update- We just ran into this problem today after months of not having it occur. Two new printers were added and the share name of one had a space in it and the other was over 8 characters. When they changed the share name to be only 8 characters with no spaces all of the workstations connect fine consistently now.
