>>Well.. If this is only a conspiracy theory.. Please, excuse me.. But, this is how I've been seen the history down here..

Hi Ken.. Thanks for your reply..

>Hi Claudio. You are welcome to believe what you want based on false assumption and no facts. <snip>

I'm sorry but, It isn't a fact that MS loose for no reason a full brazil's market (of clipper's developers) for a very unknown tool, based on an engineering even more unknown.. That is a weird result of the junction of a series of tools.. Named Delphi ?

It isn't a fact that we (the comunity) are seeing daily FOX/MVP people talking and talking on how great are the dotnet, on how change our lifes will turn.. If we go to dotnet ?

What about to talk of FOXPRO mídia/marketing budget.. And, not going so far, lets see the VBs number compared with VFPs.. If we talk here in Brazil about a death tool named VB6 everyone knows, try to do the same with FOX.. The answer is always.. "Fox what? Is still alive ?"

This is the facts buddy.. Never, never doubt if is true or not.. They are clear and present everyday here in brazil..

Microsoft is loosing the focus.. dotnet only fit on few companies needs here in Brazil.. What about all the one ? You're waiting for somebody/company to get the hook ? Would you like to have a case study.. Try to search for "visual kit 5" some small company did that poor tool and sold more than 1 milion copys.. Guest what ? All for your possible clients..

>I will explain the truth and facts for you and others to be clear on the MVP award system. In the 1990s, I was a VFP MVP for many years. Over the past 3.5 years, I've been responsible for selecting the final VFP MVP list while the entire VFP team reviews that list before it is complete so that it has team approval based on technical and support contributions to the VFP community.

My point is far from you.. I really believe that you has a self-denying fight.. My personal feeling is not about you.. In my professional life I saw few people as your character and firmness.. On 90s Ken Levy was a great reference as M.V.P.. On 2ks he is the best VFP's product manager that Ms can reach..

>We select people in the MVP program who are the best contributors to answering technical questions online, creating whitepapers and books used by the mass community for learning, and those who speak at the larger events. Some are pure technical online, some are more influential from a communication point of view. But marketing has nothing to do with the MVP award and MVPs are never asked or told what to say or not say. The MVP award is an award of contributions made in the prior 12 months. While some MVPs make money related to their community related efforts, many MVPs dedicate their own person time to help others simply becaues they enjoy helping others and it often makes them better developers by doing so in the process. While an MVP is open to criticism individually, there is really no basis for generalization towards MVPs other than to thank them for their efforts in helping others with the developer tools we use.

I really believe that.. There is no kind of doubt on it.. I'm also fan of the program..
