I don't know what else to tell you. The code from my test and your posted code works fine in VFP3 build 0711 under Win95b on my machine.

Put some additional debug code into the methods to trace exactly what happens when you do this. Make sure you are not doing a LockScreen so you wouldn't see it. And not doing a NODEFAULT somewhere to prevent the baseclass behavior from running.
