Well I don't think it's too much of a stretch of the imagination that they are in it for the money. I think almost everyone would agree and is why anybody is in business. There's nothing wrong with that.
I guess we all could go through life not criticizing anything and accepting things as they are. Yes you're right, that's not me. I've identified shortcomings (in my opinion) in training and magazine coverage of certain topics and I'd like to think I'm helping developers that need alternatives, if those topics ever get covered. But, regardless, the only thing I have control over is ActiveVFP, so I'll just concentrate on that for proving these things and covering ground that's not being addressed elsewhere..

>>Well, probably many dotnet consultants here are motivated by profit and I would guess that's the reason for the minimal attention given to interop. In other words, while it would save money for whoever is paying for the project, it would make less money for consultants doing total conversions. That's probably the plain truth of it.

>It seems a bit too much for me to think that anything that doesn't share your same point of view about interop is doing it because they really want to hide something to make a good deal. But this could be just me. I find very difficult to state probable truths like these.
>
>>I only have time to develop ActiveVFP to prove that interop works well and is a great alternative to save time and money. Many developers are using it instead of developing an application purely in .NET for these reasons. In other words, AVFP is my contribution . It'll have to be someone else that writes about it- I just don't have enough time...

>I see, and I absoultely understand you. Again, I have a lot of topics that think that should be covered more regularly in different publications, sessions, etc, but I would never insist other people to do it just because I think they are important. I mean, asking for a specific topic sounds good, but insisting people that they should covering, and implying that they are possibly doing a disservice by not doing is something that I would never dare. Of course, this is my POV, and I don't pretend you to share it.
