Jordan - Victor,

I sent you copies of my case studies - one is a VFP/Excel COM GUI that is being sold as an add on to a fixed income accounting system - and the other is an AP-42 emissions accounting system (quantifies (measures) evaporative carbon losses from fuel and oil storage assets and loading procedures.

Case studies are a great marketing tool. I used "Snagit" to create the images.

A few years back there was a foreum of sorts for VFP developers to show their stuff (Microsoft Excellence Awards), but that stopped. It's as if the "man" don't want VFP developers to show their wares. If the the community had a "forum" where we could show-off and share ideas on how to develop VFP interfaces, VFP would certainly be advanced.

It seems for now we have to look at dated retro interfaces that mostly rely on common controls and grids as an example. I know that any GUI (look and feel) and operability issues being written in other languages can be mimiced and done better in VFP - but the "man", somehow, doesn't want that word to get out.

If we could get more info on doing better GUIs with VFP we would NOT have to put up with these conversion evangelicals pounding non-VFP white papers the "man" seems to be financing.

I am througly convinced that anything can be developed with VFP and operate more crisply, look better and add more value than anyother development tool on the market.

But - the "man" seems intent on hidding the power of VFP, relegating us all to cube-code-monkeys writting copyrights for the "man's" associates.

I've seen some of Jordan's stuff - and it is good. I don't know if I saw the "Pizza" demo - I will check into it.

Terry

>>Excellent idea. I'm always one for eyeballing VFP screen designs. I usually try to follow the windows standards pretty closely - but layout and such can make a big difference in the look & feel of an application. You can send stuff to my TechnoHippie@gmail.com email.....
