I understand that but I'd tell you that one important thing would be timing. If VFP is in expansion there than perhaps he should'nt go there.

We lost our Fox user's group in Montreal some months ago. It got merged with the SQL Server user's group (which was also in bad shape) and the Visual studio user's group (which looked healthy).

At one time the group was doing fine. We had the best speakers that came from time to time (Steven Black, Rod Paddock, Jim Booth, Kevin McNeish and many others)

But what lead to the death of our user's group? Why did the Toronto Fox user's group also died?

Perhaps something could have been made to keep those user's group alive. We're talking about two big cities in Canada. That explains a bit my question to Mr. Levy.

I'm just hoping to understand the marketing strategy here.
