Hi Paul,

As to graphics, I would expect some performance changes as a lot of our graphical support was shifted over to GDI+ which is an external Windows DLL. We may have lost a step on speed but we gained a lot in flexibility.

To the rest of your comments, I can only say, for myself, that I'm thrilled that you're happy with 9 and comments like yours make all the work and effort worthwhile.

>My drives were quite fragmented as well as my registry. Defragging all of that did bring the times more in line with each other. The remaining difference is small, and as you related, only seems to be in certain areas (possibly graphics related). The speed increases in the other areas more than make up for it overall. I appreciate the help from Jim Nelson and yourself.

>Please let me take one second to tell you how happy I am with VFP 9.0. I have been using Fox since 2.0, and I have used every single version since. The changes in V9 are very exciting to me! The massive SQL changes, Report Writer overhaul, IDE updates, and language enhancements, etc. have resolved many of my nagging distractions in VFP. It is absolutely amazing what a dedicated core of people can do in such a short amount of time! Two thumbs way up!
