I created a kardex system (to record client data - treatment with costs, and payments) many years ago with FoxPro/DOS. Later, I created a VFP version to run under Windows.
A fairly simple system, basically three tables and about as many forms.
Not a huge commercial success - the DOS application was used by one dentist, and the Windows version by one dentist. I was not very agressive in promoting it - I usually work for companies, rather than selling software licenses.
However, I am proud to say that both the DOS and the Windows version is still in use.
