So far I haven't had any resistance to VFP, haven't even had any questions yet about what I developed it in, but it's early days yet.

We did get some hard questions with the Clinical Trials software, especially about the security of the data. I think based on the dbf format we did not get the contract.

>>>Just wondering if there is anyone else developing commercial off-the-shelf applications?

>>>We use VFP for all of our development efforts, including a commercial application that we have been selling for 20+ years. The program was initially developed with dBASE II and distributed using a compiler distributed by Wordtech Systems (I think).

>>>I'm just curious if there is anyone else doing the same?

>I know a little about that industry and I'm suspecting that you don't get any resistance to your apps being developed using VFP as opposed to some other development language. We're in the accounting field and there doesn't appear to be any resistance to VFP here... as long as it fills their needs.
Frank.
