I never dreamed that my little software program would become so popular, but believe me... it takes lots and lots of work to keep it up-to-date and accurate. I still lots of users who started with version 1.0 and are now using version 20.That is a great story!
My first dBase II project as an independent was a bit bigger. It serviced job costing, bill of materials, sales orders, inventory for a steel fabricator. The client offered to fund and help me sell it (he was a really great guy) - but I could not work up enough interest to switch from development to business! Starving to build software, for a while, was my path.
As time went on - I grew up - and did a little better!
With the economy going the way it is - and a growing cottage industry - there should be plenty of oppertunities for VFP developers!
That is a great story! Congratulations!
