try this on VFP8 and 9

? TRANSFORM('1256',"@R 99H99")

Read VFP9 InputMask doc:

H Prevents entry of non-hexadecimal symbols in the specified position.


This is a VFP3 bad/bug design.
Every time VFPT add a new cMask character,
all VFP developers forgiveness this character as separator.

A possible char is:

? TRANSFORM('1256',"@R 99:99")

but it can dead on VFP10!
