Run =aprinters(gaprinters) again on the workstation that exhibits the problem and post the entire listing. What other printers are connected to the workstation that exhibits the error? What ports is the printer connected to and mapped to (if at all - check each printer's properties and net use in dos for this)? You can try changing the share name of the printer on the server to an 8 character name and see if that helps. Alternatively, there may be a conflict on that workstation.
>The one with the error does have a printer mapped to LPT1. The other does not. I do not know the implications of that.
