Hi Tamar,
That's the yin and yang of FoxPro development, isn't it? dBASE was designed as a language accessible enough that non-programmers could use it productively. Up to a point that's a good thing, as thousands of football pool and CD organizer programs attest. Business apps, too. The downside is there are a lot of apps out there, used in line of business every day, that are about as robust as Don Knotts. I have seen some well written FoxPro apps but they have been the exception. The folks who hang out here, who really know what they're doing, are the tip of the tip of the iceberg.
How's the class going? Would Mr. Cooper be pleased?
