Your news on MSDN giving out Beta copies of VFP6 is great. Regarding your comment ( with a <g> ) about every one wanting a Beta copy, I for one can benefit by taking my chances on it being buggy. Consider the development work that would not need to be done by many people after the release, specially when working on private venture projects where there is no client yet. If one holds off on features for the eventual release in 4-5 months time, what is the learning curve time beyond that date? In further regard to obligations vs self benefit of MS and its' Beta trials after Devcon, I believe the game is based on commercial promotion and not the feedback benefits gained from a Beta test. Basically 1600 people and their friends get a jump start (good luck to them ), but others get Auto Rejected by MS. I would not have felt the same about missing 4-5 months between VFP 3 and VFP 5 because there was not the same (apparently) leap in user features and development productivity- there are huge gains to be made with VFP6. I hope releases are in fact made by MSDN and if so, MS don't pull the "you can only have an International Beta Version and there ain't none" trick.
Thanks again for the news
