I'd have to disagree with you: most people in their right mind would like to protect their investment while moving forward with new technology - it's just common sense. For VFP, this means interop.
On one hand you say it's not that hard and on the other you describe it as a nightmare. Surely there's room for improvement. If you download AVFP and you have the .NET Framework 1.1 or higher, it just runs interop, right out of the box. Some developers are too lazy to automate this stuff and they whine that it's an operational nightmare...
