I am looking for anoother (preferably free) activeX RTF control. i need more functionaltity then the "RichText.RichTextCtrl.1" is providing. i do not need anything fancy, the gui of the ms activeX is good enough, i am not trying to create a word processor, just diplaying a file with some additional functionality.

when reading the RTF string with .SelRTF or .TextRTF i do not get the value which was originally in the rtf file. i think the control is 'normalizing' the codes when loading the file.

in the file the control word i am looking for is: "\uld-123", which is a valid code attached with a parameter. after loading the file into the activeX, all that is left is the "\uld" - the parameter is gone.

in addition i could use a Method like "HitTest()" in order to see over which word the mouse currently is.
