Hi John
I just purchased SDT Stonefield database toolkit. for this purpose. There are classes that you install in your application that can repair most error's you will run into. The classes have methods to check database for corruption & repair on startup or whenever you choose to execute them (On error etc). Via menu or whatever.
SDT wil do this and much much more.
Take a walk over to there site. I'm sure you will be impressed.
