>Southwest Fox is held on the Tempe campus, and there are plenty of hotels within walking distance of the student union (where the conference is held).

>I attended last year and found it to be a very good, cost-effective VFP conference. Shop around on the hotel rates. You can save a good bit by staying further away and either walking or driving to the conference. I personally didn't like the hotel across the street from the conference (whose name I forget) and switched to the Marriott Courtyard after the first day. No broadband Internet access and tiny rooms at the first hotel made me consider other options.

Much thanks, Ben. That's great information. I take it the Mariott Courtyard has the Broadband you were seeking? I don't plan to be driving and would like to be close, but broadband is a necessity.
