Many thanks for the reply. This application rather old now (it was originally written in 3.0!) so the mechanism of creating the forms won't change. I've only worked on it for a couple of years now and I was sure that whilst the way it works isn't great, it wouldn't cause a problem. If I had done it from scratch I'd certainly have created an array with the live forms contained as objects.
