Yes, I just tried it.
Perhaps you should change the main popup ("Forum") back and forth, or even quit your browser - sometimes the second popup doesn't correct update, to reflect the selection in the first popup.
As far as I know, there is no option (in your setup) to specifically include/exclude individual categories - only entire forums.
