Ian;
Foxpro can be a perfect data server for a web site. I've developed a system using the following:
- Pentium pro-200 64MB running WIN NT 4.00
- O'Rielly Web Site pro www.ora.com
- VFP 5.0
- FoxWeb www.foxweb.com

The site has been running great. You can access remote data through ODBC, however if the data you are accessing doesn't change all that much, it's best to import it into VFP tables and generate pages from local tabels.
VFP 6.0 is suppose to have built in support for html pages. You can also take a look at the WESTWIND product which is what UT is written in (as far as I know).

Hope this helps
