Whatever gets you through the night. If this is a one-off called form, as you suggest, where you get data from both tables and splash them onto a form, why not? (Although I'd probably do that by means of a view linking the two tables). I had in mind a case where you could select succesive Fabsum records (say using a next, prev button etc. and/or with the Fabsum recs in a grid) during the life of the form and it wouls auto. get the Articles related data. The way you outlined DID seem a trifle, shall we say... clumsy and kludgy, and you DID say you were having problems showung the correct look-up data.

- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
