I couldn't agree with you more. It's one thing, that I completely agree with, to limit the number of people given beta versions when dealing with an NDA. But, now that the NDA is lifted the beta should be available to all. When VFP6 finally hits the shelves it would be nice to have a running start in developing apps with all it's new features.

>>I'm also kind of still shaking my head about the fact that the beta is for attendees only. Seems to me that it's in everyone's best interest to get the experienced developers up to speed now with the new features, especially the COM and Web stuff, rather than have us wait another 4 months.

>Yes ! I agree, you agree, and I'm sure that everyone who's not been able to attend agrees too. So, where's the problem ?
>Robert Green has told me : ":The beta has been closed for several months. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to support betas of unlimited numbers.".
>My question is : why not ? I understand that VFP6 isn't like Windows98, ok, but there's an important think to take into consideration : VFP users are NOT end-users, but developers willing to sell products based on MS' platforms. And let me add it, they're experienced developers, not teen-agers that play on VFP after they've finished their schoolworks. Maybe he was trying to tell that they were unable to build tons of CDs and send them to everyone... But I wonder if there's anyone here that wouldn't accept to pay for a CD, or wouldn't accept to sit by his/her modem to download the whole thing. They've made it possible for VC++, VJ++ and VInterDev. Are we all sons of a Lesser God ?

>And anyway, who cares if the product is bugged. I've been in a lot of betas, so far, bugs don't scare developers. While we keep building our apps with the previous version, we could start learning the new one, to be ready when it will come out. I'd like to try, yes, there's no problem if I should reset the PC after ten minutes of coding and tries. As developers we need to build winner products, no matter what happens on our development IDEs. But it seems that MS doesn't care about it.

>Come on !! Put a technology preview on the VFoxpro site !!!
