We have great problems with faxing in general, and ended up having installed an old Word95 in a separate directory, because it doesn't use Unicode, since no faxing software (except Microsoft Fax on W95 OSR2 machines) prints diacriticals properly from Unicode enabled apps. All the other faxing software extracts codepage 1252 from multipage fonts, completely ignoring the Unicode.

No, I have not tried any other code pages. You may want to try Symantec's tech support and see if WinFax supports other code pages.
