It became blindingly clear to me when I watched a documentary on the war. One thing they discussed was a paper the neo-cons had written during Regan's presidency. It called for the US to conquer Iraq and use that as a base to establish a democracy in the Middle East.

I've heard stories from conspriracy theorists that are beyond believability. But to hear the story about the paper, and then to hear that there appeared to be an effort from the White House to establish that Iraq had something to do with 9/11 sets off an internal radar somewhere in my brain.

>>>As far as the west is concerned, as I understand it so far, **WE** are being manipulated to keep us from doing what we might want to do (promote peace, eliminate weapons, feed everybody, save the environment, etc. etc.) because that would mean loss of power by the U.S.

>>I have absolutely no qualms with Canada independently promoting peace, eliminating weapons, feeding the world, and saving the environment. What is stopping them?

>>I agree with you entirely. The hidden organization waiting to strike our societies is an illusion. There is no terror network. It doesn't exist - just as 9/11 didn't exist either.

>Hmmmm, so I wonder where the weapons of mass destruction and the nuclear program of sadam went to... Only if your blind, you cannot see this as an argument to support this theory. And I wonder how the recently conclusions that the american intelligence know very little of the real threats in the world fits into the story. It seems they still could learn a lot from the mossad...
