>>>I spoke to Microsoft up here in Canada early this afternoon.
>>>They said that 'Fullfillment' would only send me a downgrade if I purchased (or currently had) a volume license of 5 or more. I am not sure of the *exact* type of license required.
>>>I appreciate the suggestion of the MSDN subscription but it is about $1,200 US$ compared to the ~$500 CDN that a VFP 8 upgrade was when it was available.
>>
>>MSDN Pro is about $799 for the upgrade version, which applies to anyone who has a license copy of VFP 5.0 or later version. But I realize that is still more expensive than VFP 9.0 upgrade.
>That is something to put on the back burner maybe as a last resort.
>So, for about $1,000 CDN I can purchase a new VFP 8 * and * VFP 9?
>That is about what the two upgrades would cost if they were available and purchased separately.

If you needed to use both VFP 8.0 and VFP 9.0 at the same time and you have an version older version of VFP, you could qualify to upgrade to VFP 8.0 and then also upgrade to VFP 9.0. If you only need VFP 8.0, you could obtain VFP 9.0 and downgrade that license for use with VFP 8.0 if you get that CD too. But if you have MSDN subscriptions (any level), you get VFP 6.0 to 9.0 full versions, all versions of VS, Windows, access to more betas that are public, and more.
