I have a single threaded exe server that I use to print reports in pdf format. The com server sets the printer driver to the amyuni pdf printer driver before printing the report. The com server has been used on asp pages, vfp applications and asp.net pages. Recently I migrated everything to a new computer that hosts windows xp **sp2**. My old computer did not have sp2. On the new computer with sp2 I shut down the firewall, disabled popup blocking and uninstalled antivirus protection. My com server is registered in dcom so that the aspnet user has full control in terms of access and launching. Although several classes in the com server continue to work well, any class on the server that sets the printer to the amyuni printer driver fails. Is there an issue that I have missed with windows xp sp2 and printing via a vfp com server. And... are there any issues with sp2 and mtdll com servers? I also have a mtdll that works on an asp page hosted by the old computer but fails when the page is servered up on the new computer running windows xp sp2.
