The "slider" control does not limit the dimensions of a "form" contained scrollable object or affect the appearance of the controls regardless of VFP or OS versions.

Another trick is to parse off sections of the "scroll" data to memo fields and this use a spinner to point to data to set an edit boxes "value".

Would the editbox control work- or a list control without grid lines (or even a grid without lines)?

>I?ve built a small application with VFP9 to collect data as to produce a text file to be sent via email and then imported into a statistical application.
>Instead of using pageframes, I decided to use the new extended feature of scrollable forms allowed by VFP9: the capability of going beyond the limit of VFP8 (2 times the height of the display). In fact, the last container added has its TOP property = 8000). No problem in my XP developement machine, nor with an old Win98 box.
>Surprise begun when the application was installed on a laptop (XP, Asus with Ati Radeon 9000 video card). All the textboxes, labels and combos included in my containers didn?t show, from about Top 3500.

>The textboxes can receve text and which is saved correctly. But it is not diplayed; better, it is displayed as if with the same font color as the background of the textbox. When clicking in the textbox and then moving the mouse with the left button pressed, the text shows.
>When I try to resize the form and reach a particular width, everything reappears, but suddendly disappears when the width changes (even with small differences).
