>Another move against our privicy is todays article about MS "Blackbox Record" (http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9588-5684051.html?tag=nl.e589). It amuses me when I read "...even the contents of documents that were being created..."

I especially liked:
Microsoft is trying to get to a point where it can send back specific details on the problem and how to fix it.

Will they say, "Switch to Linux!"?

My favorite MS exploit are those TBS toolbars. While infected, any requested URL that links to a solution to remove the "toolbar" causes a "grey" screen to cover the entire desktop.

If MS's hokey reason for snooping is to offer suggestions for the fix - I say - why worry - we're googleing the "S" out of the info-spectrum to find workarounds for problems that have been eating our clocks for a long time - why change something that has become a tradition?

Billy had to dance with the devil to settle that law suit - thats all I can say - and that little "back box" is just the next waltz.

The most hopeful business that did not occur was when "Google" (do no wrong) turned down MS's 10B offer - at that moment I knew there were still humans on the planet!:)
